Mrs. Jones, Nursery Teaching Assistant for Branston Locks Primary & Nursery School

I am thrilled to be joining the team at Branston Locks Primary and Nursery School, as a Nursery Teaching Assistant. With over a decade of experience in childcare, I have a deep passion for nurturing young minds.

Over the past 10 years, I have had the pleasure of working in various roles that have shaped my knowledge in childcare and education. As a dedicated childminder, children’s church leader and running a playgroup, I have provided a stimulating environment for children to learn and grow, as well as creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds to play and learn together. Additionally, my role as a 1:1 teaching assistant has given me invaluable insight into providing personalised support to meet each child’s unique needs.

I am passionate about fostering a love of learning in children, particularly through reading and creative activities. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s face light up as they discover new stories or express themselves through art. I am excited to share this passion with the children, inspiring a lifelong love of books, storytelling and creativity.

Inclusivity is at the heart of my philosophy; I believe that every child deserves to feel valued and included. Having lived within the community all my life, I understand the importance of building strong, supportive relationships with both children and their families.

Outside of my professional life, I am an avid animal lover and I believe that animals can teach us important lessons about compassion and empathy, which are qualities I aim to inspire in the children I work with.

I am enthusiastic to bring my experience, creativity, and passions to Branston Locks Primary and Nursery School. I look forward to working with the wonderful children, parents, and staff in our community, and to contributing to a positive and enriching learning environment for all.

Mrs A Jones.

School Closed due to snow

Branston Locks Primary and Nursery School is closed today (Friday 9th January) due to the adverse weather conditions.

Having assessed the site and the local area and observed advice from the met office, we have made this decision to ensure the safety of all staff, pupils and families.

Children should spend the day exploring the snow and enjoying it! Then, once they are warm they can practise their spellings, read their reading books and play Numbots.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday 12th January.
