We celebrated Mothers’ Day in style at Branston Locks with an afternoon tea style lunch. We invited our mums, grandmas, aunties and other special adults in our lives to come and join us eat our delicious sandwiches, cakes and biscuits. Hannah (our cook from Mellors) worked her socks off to create an incredible spread and we all ate together in the hall where Miss Key and Mrs Cooper (our lunchtime supervisors) had decorated and made the hall look and feel really special. Our grown ups even got to come and play with us outside in the sunshine. It was a lovely way to spend a Friday afternoon and we’re already planning Fathers’ Day!

Branston Locks Primary and Nursery School is closed today (Friday 9th January) due to the adverse weather conditions.
Having assessed the site and the local area and observed advice from the met office, we have made this decision to ensure the safety of all staff, pupils and families.
Children should spend the day exploring the snow and enjoying it! Then, once they are warm they can practise their spellings, read their reading books and play Numbots.
We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday 12th January.

We have officially launched Numbots at Branston Locks this week. We love playing the game to help practise our Maths fluency and help Rusty upgrade!
