Our rights are really important and at Branston Locks, we believe that children should not only learn about their rights as agreed in the UNCRC, but also understand and promote them. In committing ourselves to the Rights of the Child, we have created an action plan to help us do this. Our school values are: Respect, Kindness, Inclusion, Responsibility, Never Giving Up and Aspiration. These are all values which are underpinned by the Right of the Child. In school, we will be learning about each of the rights and what it means for us and our world. Now we are working on our action plan so that we can achieve our silver award soon. Branston Locks Primary and Nursery School is closed today (Friday 9th January) due to the adverse weather conditions.
Having assessed the site and the local area and observed advice from the met office, we have made this decision to ensure the safety of all staff, pupils and families.
Children should spend the day exploring the snow and enjoying it! Then, once they are warm they can practise their spellings, read their reading books and play Numbots.
We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday 12th January.
We have officially launched Numbots at Branston Locks this week. We love playing the game to help practise our Maths fluency and help Rusty upgrade!
